Sheets come out curled or full of static and keep jamming after the fuser — how do I stop it?

Sheets exit curled (usually toward the heated side), cling together or to rollers from static, and jam in the fuser/exit/duplex path or misfeed at the registration rollers, most often in very humid or very dry conditions. Most often caused by paper moisture out of balance — damp or over-dry stock reacting to fuser heat, among other possible causes — a full step-by-step diagnostic and fix follows below.
