My solid ink areas have tiny unprinted specks (pinholes) - how do I get full coverage?

Solid color blocks show scattered tiny unprinted specks or voids that look like pinholes, giving a weak, non-uniform density. The effect is most obvious across large solids, especially on films and coated stocks.
