Mathrubhumi's Onam Campaign Celebrates Kerala's Living Legacy Across Print, Film and Digital

Indian newspaper Mathrubhumi launched 'Manassil Ennum Maveli' (The Spirit of Maveli Lives On), an Onam campaign conceived by agency Maitri that moves beyond traditional festival imagery to spotlight real individuals preserving Kerala's cultural and intellectual heritage. The multi-platform campaign — spanning print, film, radio, and digital — profiles four Padma Shri recipients alongside technology innovators, framing their contributions as modern expressions of the values embodied in Onam's legendary king Maveli. The approach shifts the festival narrative from spectacle to substance, using print and other media to connect enduring Keralan values with contemporary achievement.
