Hindi and English Dominate as India's Print Ad Market Shows Resilience in 2026

India's print advertising market contracted by just 2% in the first seven months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, with over 108,000 brands continuing to invest in the medium, according to TAM AdEx. Hindi and English language publications together commanded more than 60% of print ad volume, with Education, Services, and Auto sectors leading by ad space. Maruti Suzuki India retained its position as the top print advertiser for the second consecutive year, while Cars overtook Multiple Courses as the single most-advertised category.
