Agfa Posts Net Loss in Q2 2026 as Hydrogen Membrane Weakness Offsets Digital Print Gains

Agfa reported a net loss of €15 million in Q2 2026, a sharp reversal from the €30 million profit posted in the same period last year, with overall revenues slipping 2.1% to €275 million. The Industrial Solutions division was dragged down by weak demand for its Zirfon hydrogen membranes due to EU regulatory delays, though digital printing revenues grew 10.8% and ink sales rose 10%. The Imaging and Chemicals division was the standout performer, with EBITDA nearly tripling to €8.9 million, while Healthcare IT continues its transition toward cloud-based SaaS solutions. Agfa attributed the headline net loss largely to a legal dispute over the AgfaPhoto insolvency, with an appeal expected to take up to 15 months to resolve.
