Fujifilm Plans Partial Spin-Off of Printing Division as Profits Slump
Shared with SuperPrinters · 8/11/2026 · Source: indianprinterpublisher.com
Fujifilm has announced it will partially divest its Business Innovation division — encompassing office printing, production presses, graphic communications, and inkjet technologies — to focus resources on its higher-margin Healthcare and Electronics businesses. The division, which traces its roots to the former Fuji Xerox joint venture, generated the company's largest revenue but posted an operating loss in Q1 2026, highlighting its struggle with shrinking demand and high costs. The sell-off is expected to unfold over two to three years, with Fujifilm potentially retaining a minority stake below 20% for tax reasons, while high-value assets like the Dimatix printhead business could attract interest from outside buyers.
