Indian Newspaper Society Launches 'Ink Doesn't Lie' Campaign to Defend Print's Credibility

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) has launched a nationwide campaign positioning print media as a trusted antidote to online misinformation, with member publications across India running a unified advertisement simultaneously on 27 July 2026. INS president Vivek Gupta championed print's resilience at the INMA South Asia News Festival, arguing that newspapers have outlasted every wave of new media by doubling down on rigorous fact-checking and editorial standards. The campaign also targets advertisers, reminding brands that print commands a level of authority and consumer trust that digital platforms struggle to match.
