Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is making a series of strategic moves to consolidate its position as a global leader in the printing and packaging industry. The company has signed an agreement to take over production of POLAR cutting machines and systems, and separately announced plans to integrate the lifecycle business and global sales and service subsidiaries of the manroland sheetfed Group. These acquisitions follow other recent expansions, including a Swiss packaging firm's investment in a HEIDELBERG Boardmaster inline flexo press and a hybrid printing deal with Siepmann Printing.
